Program Topic: This side event focuses on the roll out of the book titled "Convergence of Food Security, Energy Security and Sustainable Agriculture" edited by David Songstad, Jerry Hatfield and Dwight Tomes. The roll out will consist of a keynote address and panel discussion centered on how technology will lead us to the convergence of food security, energy security and sustainable agriculture.

Program Description: The emphasis of this program will be on the need for "convergence" to the core values of agriculture and society in order to meet the food and feed needs of the next generations. This is why the book "Convergence of Food Security, Energy Security and Sustainable Agriculture" is the focus of this program and the World Food Prize the ideal venue for the roll out of this book. Each of the panelists is a contributor to this book and give keen insights regarding the their view of our need for Convergence.
